BLESSINGS ABUNDANTLY By Uriah J. Fields
I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. - Jesus
Presented below are three testimonial essays that reveal what God has done and continues to do in my life. I declare there is no secret what God can do, especially for the person who trust Him. May these essays inspire and encourage you to be more open than ever before to be blessed abundantly.
Be Blessed by the Experience
Be blessed by the Experience. This does not mean that you can be blessed by only some special or delightful experience. It means that there is a blessing in every experience, be it a marvelous, ordinary, frivolous or tragic experience. So when you are involved in an "experience specific," be of the same mind as was the Patriarch Jacob, who after having wrestled with an angel all night informed the angel, although he was created "lower than the angel," that "I will not let you go until you bless me." Resolve to not let an experience pass until it has blessed you, even if it is with a blessing deferred. Do not let it be for you a blessing denied simply because you refused to claim your blessing. And be sure to watch out for the serendipitous blessings that are not expected and may pop up without your advanced knowledge and surprise you with joy.
I Am Blessed
The salutation and process of my life are expressed in this three-word affirmation, "I am blessed." I am blessed is my mantra, acknowledgment that God favors me and thanksgiving prayer; I am blessed are words silently and verbally, I express each day beginning just before I arise from my bed and continuing throughout the day until I go to sleep; I am blessed is the response that sometimes I make to a greeter who ask me,"How are you doing?" as I gleefully watch him/her perk up; I am blessed simply and profoundly declare that God is good to me and that I am aware that all good gifts come from Him. I am blessed oftentimes precedes my enumeration of specific blessings I have received that include, but are not limited to, my being alive, food, clothing, shelter, protection, opportunities, God's presence, the indwelling of the Spirit within me who guides and empowers me, hence enabling me to grow, serve, love, enjoy, commune and live in the present. I am blessed is my acceptance of my uniqueness and awareness that the spiritual is greater than the material, that I am not body, mind and soul but an eternal soul synergically connected with a temporary body and mind; I am blessed is my testimony and assurance that God will provide everything I need according to His riches; I am blessed expresses my desire that the presence of God in me blesses the presence of God in others and the presence of God in others blesses me; I am blessed denoted my foremost and unwavering allegiance, not to America or the world, even though I am a citizen of both realms, but to that eternal realm sometimes called Heaven. I am blessed. Are you blessed? Let us who acknowledge that we are blessed say so, bless God, ourselves and each other with the awareness that we are blessed to be a blessing. And so it is.
Blessings Galore
Blessings are everywhere, above me, beneath me, around me, within me; I dare not try to count my blessings because like the grains of sand they are innumerable. My blessings make me do strange things, I shout, laugh, and even shed tears of joy; To you I say, "Thank you;" I am thankful to myself; And above all else I am thankful to God. I am thankful. I am thankful; I am thankful.
